Located on the South Australian Fleurieu Peninsula, Old Noarlunga (originally named Noarlunga) was established in 1840 and sits beside the beautiful Onkaparinga River.

Being the oldest town in the region it has a rich history and lovely small town ambience.

 Adjacent to the McLaren Vale wine district this picturesque town has maintained its charm while providing a place for a whole range of activities. It is seen by tourist and locals as a great place for families to visit.

The area is well known for its world class wineries and beaches.There is much to see and do in the many small villages and towns in the area.

About Oncara

Old Noarlunga Commercial and Residents Association Inc. was formed in 1999 with the aims of fostering the social, commercial & environmental interests of residents, businesses and associated groups within Old Noarlunga. The group has a wide diversity of interests. Having no set program it reacts to concerns and thoughts of the community of Old Noarlunga, with the aims of preserving and improving the lifestyle, tourism, trade and environment for all persons with an interest in Old Noarlunga. A monthly free newsletter and tourist brochure is produced to keep all residents informed and to showcase the town as an ideal destination. This web site is run to assist, inform locals and promote Old Noarlunga to the wider community. Included under the Oncara umbrella is the local Neighbourhood Watch group.

 

Meeting once a month on the last Tuesday, in the Old Noarlunga Institute Hall, Patapinda Rd., Old Noarlunga at 7.30pm all are welcome that reside or have an interest in Old Noarlunga. Oncara is a non profit organisation with recognition and assistance from local council and federal/ state governments.
